Dorothy has always been fascinated by the moon and stars, since she was a small child, spending many hours lying outside star gazing under the night sky..
She began her formal studies in Astrology at the age of 27, whilst living on an Island in Papua New Guinea. Beginning with traditional Astrology and then completing a correspondence course in Cosmobiology which was created specially for the small group of keen students by renown Australian Astrologer, Doris Greaves.
Several years later, then residing in South Africa, she completed a 3 year Diploma course in Astro-psychology at the Astrological Institute in Johannesburg, followed by a year of teaching.
On her return to Australia, Dorothy created and began teaching her own Astrology course, based on a Soul Centred , psychological perspective. view course Astrology is her passion, and she strives to assist others to reach for their highest potential in the expression of their Soul path & journey for this lifetime.
She loves to see her students evolve and encourages them to incorporate their astrological understanding into their own work, making it uniquely their own, and further spreading this valuable knowledge out into the world.
With a desire to understand and work on all levels, mental, emotional, physical & spiritual, Dorothy then went on to study Homeopathy (Advanced Diploma), Bowen Therapy & Aromatherapy (Diploma), and is currently a registered member of ANTA (Australian Natural Therapies Association).
Following the principles of the Mind/Body connection of Louise L Hay, she then became a “Heal Your Life: Teacher in 2000.
Her personal journey has recently led her to Aura-Soma Colour Therapy. A consultant and Teacher, she offers consultations, Beamer Light Pen sessions, 1 day workshops and Level 1 Practitioner Courses.
In following her personal path through many countries, experiences and studies, Dorothy has gained an unique combination of skills and a deep understanding of the holistic approach to health, happiness and wellbeing.
An inspirational and motivating teacher, with 30 years experience, she brings fun, laughter, wisdom, compassion and understanding to her work, and ensures a safe and caring space for clients and students to experience their own personal, soul journey.
A Mother of 3 adult children, and Grandmother to 7 special grandchildren, Dorothy is fully embracing her Maga phase, ready to live her life as a creative expression of all she has learnt and is wanting to share with others.
Known among her friends as colleagues as “TheTroubadour” Dorothy always has a bag packed and is ready to travel, so if you would like to host consultations, a workshop or course in your area, she is always happy to consider the possibility.
